HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF MY PLATED JEWELRY?

If youre looking for the quick answer and don't want to read this whole article remember only this, keep it dry. Keeping it dry means no swimming, no bathing, no heavy sweating, no spraying perfumes or lotions, no washing, and definitely no putting the jewelry in your mouth!

HOW DO I CLEAN MY TARNISHED JEWELRY?

Our jewelry is plated with anti-tarnish plating so tarnishing should not be an issue. Sometimes in extremely salty environments (like if you are selling jewelry on the beach) our products can change color after prolonged exposure to the salty air. When this happens we recommend using a multi surface cleaner such as Mr. Clean. Wash the jewelry with the multi surface cleaner and then rinse with warm water and dry the jewelry completely by patting dry (not rubbing) with a paper towel. To remove excess water use a blow dryer on the cold setting to ensure it is completely rid of any remaining water.

Do not use a jewelry cleaner or a jewelers cloth. Using these products will completely remove the plating.

CAN I WEAR MY PLATED JEWELRY WHILE WORKING OUT?

We do not recommend wearing any plated jewelry while working out.  The wetness from your sweat and saltiness can quickly damage any plated jewelry.

CAN I WEAR MY PLATED JEWELRY WHILE SWIMMING?

We do not recommend wearing any plated jewelry to the beach or to a swimming pool especially if you're planning on getting into the water. The salt water and chemicals in swimming pools damages the luster of all plated jewelry. The only jewelry we recommend wearing while swimming is our stainless steel jewelry.  Stainless steel can hold up to all the elements including harsh chemicals and salt water.

CAN I WEAR PERFUME AND PLATED JEWELRY TOGETHER?

Yes, absolutely! We recommend spraying your perfume or cologne on first, letting it dry, and then putting on your jewelry.

HOW SHOULD I STORE MY PLATED JEWELRY?

Storing your plated jewelry is super easy. Ideally, we recommend storing your jewelry in a zip lock bag with the air removed from the bag and then tucked away into a dark dry place like a jewelry box or dresser drawer.
