Focal Bead Collection
A focal bead is the piece a design is built around — the one element that decides the character of a finished necklace or pendant. This collection holds our artist-made and statement focal beads, most of them one of a kind, many of them signed work from named lampwork artists.
Artist Lampwork Glass
The heart of this collection is handmade lampwork glass, including work by Leah Fairbanks, whose floral and garden-themed beads are collected worldwide, and Grace Ma, known for iridescent lentil and rondelle sets. These beads are made one at a time at the torch — when a particular bead sells, it is gone.

- Cabochon and dichroic pendants — Czech glass and sterling-set statement pieces
Designing With a Focal Bead
Focal beads work best with restraint around them. A single large lampwork bead on a simple cable chain, or centered on a strand of small gemstone beads, lets the glass do the work. Larger holes suit leather and cord; pair with headpins and eyepins or a wrapped bail to hang one as a pendant.
Stock rotates constantly as new artist work comes in. If you are looking for a particular artist or style, reach out — we often have pieces not yet listed.
