FAQ – Jump rings and packs
How many pieces are in a pack?
The listing gives an approximate count. Packs are weighed, not counted, so expect a few more or fewer in any given pack.
Which chain does the wire gauge fit?
21-gauge fits chain with a 2–3.5 mm link, including our fine rolo and cable chains. Use 18-gauge on 4 mm chain and up.
Are jump rings nickel-free?
Our steel jump rings keep a small amount of nickel in the plating so it doesn't chip when you open and close the ring with pliers. For nickel-sensitive customers, use our stainless steel jump rings.
How do I close a jump ring so it doesn't pull open?
Twist the ends sideways past each other with two pliers, then back until they click flush. Never pull the ends apart; the ring won't round again.
Do the finishes match your chain and clasps?
Yes. Same finish names, same plating family, so Gold rings on Gold chain read as one piece.
Is there a thicker or thinner version?
Most sizes come in 18 and 21 gauge, and in 4, 6 and 8 mm. See the related products below the description.
